Finding Your Career Path
Immaculate Conception Catholic School has partnered with UNT's High School Career Connect to help students establish a path to postsecondary education and a successful career.
This site is designed to keep students informed of HSCC's work at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
The University of North Texas and the Greater Texas Foundation established High School Career Connect to provide career advice, postsecondary planning, and workforce trends to help prepare students for life beyond high school.
Primarily through one‑on‑one peer mentors, HSCC maps the primary high school‑to‑career paths: jobs, certificates, and college degrees. HSCC then helps formulate career strategies based on a student’s skills and interests.
As a result, students possess individualized career paths for postsecondary education, helping them graduate with enhanced skillsets and increased employment potential.
Whether your campus is doing in-person or remote schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic, High School Career Connect is available to support students in their college and career research and planning. We are ready to provide presentations, mentorship, and career and college resources to students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
To schedule an appointment, please call us at 940-369-5243 or email us at HScareerconnect@unt.edu.
The coronavirus pandemic and resulting facility closures have created obstacles to students pursuing postgraduate education. The University of North Texas is offering:
- The Texas Success Initiative Assessment, better known as the TSI test, in virtual formats. Testing is not just for incoming UNT students, but is available for any students through UNT's Testing Center.
- Alternatives to students who plan to attend UNT in the fall but were unable to take the SAT or ACT entrance exams.
- Transfer and freshman orientations this summer in a virtual format.
